The Sheffield City Region (SCR) Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has begun recruitment for new board members who can help continue the growth of our region.
New members are sought who can help to shape the economic strategy for the SCR, joining other senior business leaders, the Mayor and council leaders on the board.
SCR LEP Chair James Muir said: “This is an important time for the LEP as we drive forward work on our new Strategic Economic Plan, our blueprint for economic growth in the years to come.
“We’re now looking for new board members to bring new perspectives, fresh ideas, and enthusiasm and help support our ambitions for the region.
“Our LEP Board reflects the diversity of the SCR in the broadest sense. LEP members come from different backgrounds across our local authority districts and offer a breadth of industry knowledge and expertise. I am keen to hear from people that can build on this diversity.”
The LEP plays a pivotal role in shaping local economic priorities and undertakes activities to drive economic growth and create jobs.
The SCR LEP is keen to hear from business leaders with creativity, passion and energy.
Using experience in the private sector, board members guide and support the development of strategies and economic plans for the SCR.
Board members represent the LEP’s interests and priorities to partners and stakeholders in the private and public sectors and work collaboratively to deliver a shared agenda for growing the economy.
The deadline for applications is Friday 14 February. For more information, visit https://sheffieldcityregion.org.uk/lepboardrecruitment/
