AI and Leadership: Revolution or Overreliance?

Kenwood Hall, Kenwood Rd, Nether Edge, Sheffield, S7 1NQ

Wednesday 9 September

11:30am - 2:00pm

AI is rapidly reshaping the way businesses operate. From automating routine tasks to accelerating decision making, leaders are increasingly turning to AI to improve efficiency, reduce costs and drive growth.

But as reliance on AI grows, bigger questions are beginning to emerge.

Are businesses becoming more effective – or simply more dependent on technology?
Is AI enhancing leadership and strategy, or replacing the critical thinking behind them?
And what does strong leadership look like in a world where machines are taking on more responsibility?

Hosted by James Marriott, this working lunch brings together business leaders and AI specialists to explore how artificial intelligence is changing leadership, decision making and the day-to-day running of modern organisations.

We’ll be asking:

  • Where should leaders draw the line when adopting AI?
  • Can technology improve judgement, or does it risk weakening it?
  • How do businesses balance efficiency with human insight and experience?
  • And what skills will define successful leadership in the AI era?

Rather than focusing purely on the risks, this discussion looks at the realities of leading through technological change. AI is already transforming how organisations operate, but leadership still requires trust, communication, vision and accountability – qualities technology cannot easily replicate.

Panel includes:

  • David Wing – Incidium
  • Leeroy Powell – Margen
  • Gary Neville – Start Up Social

Alongside the discussion, there will be plenty of opportunity to connect with fellow business leaders from across South Yorkshire in a relaxed setting with lunch included.

Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
