Now in its 20th year, the Doncaster Business Awards have become the highlight of the local business calendar and an opportunity to support and celebrate doing business in Doncaster.

The Awards, sponsored by Doncaster College & University Centre, recognises the very best of Doncaster’s business community as firms go head to head in the 11 award categories including Excellence in Customer Service, Success in International Markets and Third Sector Organisation of the Year.

Says Don Bird, Senior Partner & Head of Family Law for Atherton Godfrey: “We are very pleased to sponsor the Large Business of the Year Award that recognises the work of the local business community, as do the other awards.

“There is a growing confidence in Doncaster as a place to do business and I am proud to witness the redevelopment that is proving so attractive to the large investors.  This investment, along with the success of local businesses is helping to strengthen the local economy; something we can all benefit from.”

Agrees So Him Fong, Managing Director at King Asia Foods: “We are extremely proud to sponsor the Doncaster Chamber SME Business of the Year Award 2018. King Asia began as a start-up back in 1985 and proudly operates as an SME to this day.

“We are passionate about supporting businesses in the Doncaster Borough. Doncaster is our home and a fantastic place to do business and this event is a brilliant way to recognise the excellent businesses within the Doncaster area.”

Doncaster industry contributes £5296 million in GVA to the economy and some 122,500 people are employed across the borough.

The winners and runners-up of the awards will be announced at the prestigious black tie event on Thursday 13 December 2018 at Doncaster Racecourse. The evening is an excellent networking opportunity with some of the leading businesses in the region, including the awards sponsors, as well as an opportunity to celebrate the year’s successes with clients, friends and colleagues.
