Following a period of unprecedented growth, Russell Richardson have now completed a move of all their operations to a new 50,000 sq ft facility on the Rotherham border, tripling the size of their previous premises.

The family owned and run company, is relied on by thousands of SMEs across the country; the head office of the Formula One Grand Prix team, numerous police forces, motor giants and even famous British fashion designers to provide confidential waste, archiving and recycling services. Following an exciting 40th year in business, Russell Richardson are now processing over 1000 tonnes of paper waste every month – almost triple that of two years ago.

The company’s growth strategy, which has seen over £750,000 of inward investment in new machinery, staff and fleet, has led to business going through the roof, says MD Jonathan Richardson.

“When we moved to Attercliffe eight years ago we never dreamed we could outgrow that site. But work started to come in at such a rate, our 13,000 sq ft warehouse just wasn’t big enough. Park House Lane is ideally located for transport links and we’ve managed to bring all arms of the business within one site which has helped improve logistics and security.”

GDPR regulations and businesses becoming more environmentally conscious have led to further demand for secure confidential waste services.

Said Jonathan Richardson: “We’ve made massive investments that should now future proof us for further planned growth and I’m proud to say that most of the money we’ve invested has been spent locally.”
