A popular restaurant based in the heart of Wickersley has joined forces with Rotherham Golf Club to be their official catering partner.
The owners of The GasLamp Brasserie and Bar, Gail and Darren Baker alongside Head Chef Simon Ayres, are behind the new venture which will create more jobs and provide the catering service for weddings, functions and events.
As part of the new partnership the venue will now be named, ‘Thrybergh Hall’ which will incorporate The GasLamp Brasserie and Bar.
The GasLamp will provide golfers and visiting players with traditional golf fare in the newly refurbished Danny Willett Lounge and will transform the club’s function rooms to offer weddings, party, events and specialist restaurant dining.
Rotherham Golf Club is set in the majestic parkland of Thrybergh Hall with a driveway sweeping through established trees up to the 19th century hall and has provided golf for more than a century and is home to more than 500 members.
The GasLamp will also have their own standalone restaurant within the venue which will provide a fine dining experience as well as traditional Sunday lunches, a relaxed dining experience in the Danny Willett lounge. The restaurant will also host a range of bistro nights for diners to enjoy.
The members’ club has recently re-furbished its Neo Gothic clubhouse and is licensed for civil ceremonies. The venue is the perfect location for couples seeking a memorable wedding venue and for businesses looking for a special place for conferences and corporate events.
