The Universal Office Products annual Golf Day raised £5,500 for two of the region’s most popular charities.
Both St Luke’s Hospice and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice received cheques for £2,750 following Universal’s 11th sporting challenge, which was once again over-subscribed.
Universal Office Products Director Steve Manley said: “I lost my mother-in-law last year when she sadly passed away in St Luke’s and the support they gave the whole family was unbelievable. We will be forever indebted to the amazing team at St Luke’s.”
St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Joasia Lesniak commented: “This was a fantastic day of sport and one that will make such a great difference to our patients.
“We are delighted that Universal Office Products chose to think of us and raised so much for us.”
Julie Hampson, Corporate Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Universal Office Products and everyone who took part in the golf day for their support for children and young adults across our region whose lives are just too short.
“Generosity like this really does help our families make special memories, whether they have days, months or years left together.”
