South Yorkshire home improvements company Yorkshire Windows is celebrating a sales boost.
The past 12 months have seen the company enjoy a 20 per cent increase in orders, with sales peaks in the key centres of Sheffield, Rotherham and Leeds.
The Rotherham-based company – which also has a showroom at Ferndale Garden Centre in Dronfield on the outskirts of Sheffield – has particularly seen orders rise since the start of spring.
“It is very encouraging to see that sales are doing so well right now and it is a trend we are aiming to build on in the coming months,” said MD Ian Chester.
“Our permanent base at Ferndale Garden Centre has helped us to focus sales on the south of Sheffield and in North Derbyshire, both important growth areas for the company.
“Being at Ferndale has helped boost our brand identity enormously and we are now looking at further growth opportunities in similar locations.
“But we are really delighted, too, to see that orders are doing very well in our traditional base of Rotherham and out towards the east of the region, while interest from Leeds and West Yorkshire is very encouraging, too.”
Yorkshire Windows is a specialist in uPVC doors and windows, composite doors, bi-fold doors, conservatories, orangeries, garage doors and roofline products.
A new addition to the company’s range for this season has been the glazed veranda, a simple solution for people wanting to enjoy a space for relaxing without having a conservatory. The glazed veranda trend is increasingly popular across Europe but is only just beginning to make an impression in the UK, with Ian again predicting a rise in interest in the coming months.
Yorkshire Windows is also a supplier and fitter of Smartglass Dynamic, the first automatically self-tinting, glass technology for conservatories, orangeries and other glazing elements.
In the middle of summer Smartglass Dynamic will change from a clear state in the morning to a darker blue during the day where solar control and light shading is needed most, yet as the unit cools it will go back to clear at the end of the day and into the night.
