Working in partnership with Doncaster Council, Doncaster Chamber has significantly enhanced its international trade  proposition to support businesses through the uncertain times of Brexit and beyond. Their comprehensive services include processing trade documentation, certified training, events and a Brexit helpdesk for direct contact with expert advisers.

Partly funded by the Government’s Brexit Fund, the Chamber is growing its current international trade resources to include its current export services and new import offer and the challenges and opportunities that Brexit will bring with EU and non-EU countries.

“This is another example of Doncaster Chamber and Doncaster Council working in partnership to robustly support its business community and meet key strategy aims for inclusive growth,” said Stefan Rodgers, Commercial Director at Doncaster Chamber.

“These services are open to all businesses of whatever size and stage of doing international trade – even if they are just starting to think about it, we can advise. We understand that starting to trade internationally can have perceived challenges but they are far outweighed by the benefits and opportunities for growth.”

The Chamber is hosting a roundtable discussion for businesses already internationally trade as well as those who hadn’t considered it to discuss the “What are the barriers to international trade and how can they be overcome?” The feedback will be used to further steer the resources being offered to local businesses.

The Chamber’s international trade proposal was passed by the Doncaster Council Executive and ratified by Cabinet on 7 May 2019.
